Hello everyone!

I've been selling on ABU for quite a while now. But I love the new look and hope that these forums take off as well!

Let me introduce myself a bit. I mostly paint with watercolor, though I am also doing some Oil Pastel now too. I love to paint tiny and large. I have listed a few ACEO's here, but mostly I have listed and sold paintings 12x12 and larger.

I paint because I have come down with a chronic illness that really keeps me down. I used to teach dance and was a motivational speaker at women's conferences and retreats. But the positive side to my illness is that it has allowed me to develop my painting skills!

I used to sell on Ebay - you may know me as TheCreatorsPalette. When I registered here, the THE didn't fit so I'm just "CreatorsPalette" here.

I've found Connie to be so kind and helpful and I just love coming in and looking through all the art! I am a total fan of Laurie Pace!!! It's inspiring and encouraging to see artists able to sell their work online too!

I have one gallery in town (small town) that may hang some of my work, and a shop in TN that is going to hang a few of my paintings. But mostly, I'm stuck here at home, so online selling is the way I have to go!

I love to paint florals and landscapes, but sometimes an abstract side of me comes out and something unusual occurs in my painting. I have also always been intriqued with impressionism and find it coming out in my watercolors. I've even been studying the technique of Impressionistic Watercolor - yes there is such a thing!

Though I LOVE traditional watercolor, I also love exploring - so I am often exploring in my painting with new textures, granulating paints, watercolor canvas' and even Yupo!

So... that's a little about me as an artist. I look forward to getting to know a few of you!

I also paint by fingers and a palette. My style is expressionism. My paintings are oil on paper (small size) or oil on canvas (large size). I like to paint portrait, flowers, fish... I love modern art!

Melanie - nice to hear that you like Laurie's work as well! She is such a great person, and of course a faboulous artist as well...
Watercolors are soo much fun to work with - I jsut never get to lately, not enough time, not enough space. Keep up the good work!

Manhtuan - you paint oils with your fingers? How cool is that? But isn't that kind of dangerous with certain colors being poisonous?

LONG time! How have you been? Feeling better yet, doctors know what's going on? I'm having some weird things happening too, been about 2 years now and no one can figure anything out. Sheesh. Still looking.
